In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, a family of four, including two children, was shot dead when a group of assailants forcibly entered their home in the Shivratanganj area. Among the victims was a government teacher, whose entire family was killed during the attack, which took place on Thursday night. Local police responded promptly to the scene, transporting the bodies to a hospital’s mortuary. A murder case has been filed at the Shivratanganj police station, and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has acknowledged the tragedy and expressed his sorrow over the family’s murder. He has directed officials to visit the site and take decisive action against those responsible for the crime. Superintendent of Police (Amethi) Anoop Singh reported that the victim’s family, hailing from Raebareli and belonging to the SC/ST community, had previously filed a case under the SC/ST Act. The police have initiated a murder investigation concerning the deaths of the government teacher, his wife, and their children.
