Any unauthorized use will result in termination of the limited license and cancellation of your membership. Use of the Sites or Services for any unauthorized purpose may lead to severe civil and criminal penalties. We do not condone the copying of content or any other infringing activity, and the owners of Third-Party Content or User Submissions may have the right to seek damages against you for such violations.
5. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES
As part of the Services, IEO may offer personal subscription services to users for accessing BBC Online News e-paper and/or premium content. By subscribing, you gain access to opinion pieces, comments, and exclusive features curated by the editors. The content behind the paywall is subject to change at IEO’s discretion, and their decisions are final.
Subscription payments are non-refundable, except as provided in clause 7.1. IEO reserves the right to change subscription fees and terms without prior notice.
Subscription services may vary by country and device. Subscription packages and pricing are also subject to change at IEO’s sole discretion.
When you purchase a subscription, you must provide us with complete and accurate payment details and other required information. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorized to use those payment details to purchase a subscription.
If we are unable to obtain payment authorization or if any authorization is later cancelled, we may immediately terminate or suspend your access to the subscription-based Service or your entire access to our Services. In suspicious circumstances, we may contact the issuing bank/payment provider, law enforcement, or other appropriate third parties without prior notice to you.
If you are entitled to a refund under these terms, we will credit it to the payment method you used, unless that method has expired. In that case, we will contact you using the registered contact details we have on file.
We use third-party payment gateways to process subscription payments, and you agree to make payments through these gateways when purchasing our subscription-based Services.
A. Subscription Contract
When you subscribe to our service, you must provide us with complete and accurate payment details and other required information. By submitting your payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use those payment details to purchase a subscription. If we are unable to verify your payment authorization or if it is subsequently cancelled, we may immediately terminate or suspend your access to the subscription-based service or your entire access to our sites. In suspicious circumstances, we may contact the issuing bank, payment provider, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties without prior notice to you.
If you are entitled to a refund under these terms, we will credit the refund to the payment method you used, unless that method has expired, in which case we will contact you using the registered contact details we have on file.
We use third-party payment gateways to process subscription payments, and you agree to make payments through these third-party services to access our subscription-based services.
B. Pricing
The subscription price for our services will be clearly displayed on our sign-up pages or during the sign-up process. Subscription periods are generally monthly, but we may offer fixed-term or fixed-payment frequency options from time to time. The currency for your subscription will be specified during the order process based on your location.
Eligibility for any discounts is determined at the time of your subscription and cannot be changed during the term of your subscription. We will provide advance notice of any price increases and offer you the opportunity to cancel if you do not wish to pay the revised price.
C. Taxes
Subscriptions and access to our subscription-based services are subject to applicable taxes, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India. Unless otherwise indicated, the prices stated on our sites include any applicable taxes.
D. Pricing Errors
You acknowledge that our sites may be subject to technical glitches or errors, including in pricing information. If we incorrectly state a price, we are not obligated to provide the subscription at that price, even if we have mistakenly accepted your offer. We reserve the right to notify you of any pricing errors and either allow you to cancel the subscription and receive a full refund or pay the correct price. We will always act in good faith when determining whether a genuine pricing error has occurred.
E. Other Costs
In addition to any subscription fees, you are responsible for any internet connection or other telecommunications charges you incur to access our subscription-based services, such as data or messaging fees from your mobile network operator.
F. Term, Renewal, and Cancellation
Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next subscription period. We will notify you by email prior to the renewal date. Subscriptions commence immediately upon payment and there is no cancellation once your account is active.
If you choose an annual subscription, we will send you a renewal notice at least 15 days before the end of your subscription period, stating the rate for the renewal. Unless you notify us that you no longer wish to renew, your annual subscription will automatically renew for another year, and we will charge the same payment method you previously used.
You do not have the right to cancel your subscription until the end of your current subscription period. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, but the cancellation will only take effect at the end of your current period, and you will not receive a refund (except in limited circumstances).
We reserve the right to include advertising, promotions, and sponsored content in our subscription-based services. We also reserve the right to cancel your subscription in the event of a breach by you or if you raise a dispute, in which case we may provide a pro-rata refund.
G. Payment Details
The current subscription fee schedule is available at https://bbconlinenews.com/. We may revise the fees from time to time, so users should periodically review the pricing.
H. Ad-Lite Definition
I. Communication Channels
We may send subscription-related information, such as confirmations, cancellations, payment updates, refund status, and schedule changes, through various communication channels like SMS, WhatsApp, voice calls, email, or other methods based on the details you provided during subscription or registration. You explicitly agree to receive these communications as requested and/or authorized by you.
6. Intellectual Property
The original sentence is quite lengthy and complex, making it difficult to follow. Let’s break it down and rewrite it in a clearer, more concise manner:
Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights on the Sites – including trademarks, service marks, copyrights, text, audio, video, and images – belong to us or our licensed Affiliates, and are protected by law. You agree that you have no ownership rights to this intellectual property, and you cannot claim any rights to it now or in the future. We will vigorously prosecute any infringement or passing off to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Termination of user agreement
7.1 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services, including the content and devices through which the Services are accessed, for any or all users at any time without notice. This is solely at our discretion, and you acknowledge we may do so. If you are a paid subscriber and we suspend or discontinue the Services, we may, at our sole discretion, provide you with a credit, refund, discount, or other compensation. However, if we terminate your account or access due to your violation of these Terms, you will not be eligible for any such consideration. We may retain any information and records required by law, even after your account is terminated. If your subscription is cancelled due to a breach by you or a dispute, the maximum you will receive is a pro-rata refund of your subscription fees.
7.2 If we need to end this agreement, we will notify you by email to the address you provided. The agreement will terminate immediately, and your login credentials will become invalid. We will only provide a pro-rata refund if we discontinue or transfer the Sites, or if changes in commercial/environmental conditions or force majeure events impact our ability to provide the Services.
7.3 At our sole discretion, we may terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Sites for any reason, including breach or suspected breach of these Terms, or a dispute raised by you.
8. RESTRICTED PERMISSION FOR PRINTOUT OR COPYING FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY
You are only permitted to download extracts from these Sites for your personal, non-commercial use on your personal device and printer. Any other copying, downloading, or storage of content from the Sites is strictly prohibited without our prior written permission.
Specifically, you may not:
Copying, curating, editing, or storing content from the Sites for any non-personal or third-party use is forbidden. Any permitted printouts or downloads of copyrighted content must be approved by us in writing and include proper attribution and acknowledgement of our copyright.
In summary, the Sites’ content is for your personal use only. Any other use or dissemination of the content requires our explicit prior approval.
9. Prohibited use:
You are strictly prohibited from accessing, copying, editing, archiving, using, printing, downloading, displaying, uploading, or storing any content from our websites (including e-papers) without our permission. This includes any attempt to harm us, the copyright owner, our affiliates, or any third party. Using our content in violation of applicable laws or our intellectual property rights is not allowed.
You must not try to circumvent, reverse engineer, decrypt, or interfere with our websites or any part of them. Doing so may result in civil, criminal, and/or administrative penalties against you and anyone assisting you.
Displaying, uploading, copying, sharing, or using our websites (including e-papers) for any subscription-based or internet-based teaching or discussion activities is expressly prohibited and will be treated as copyright infringement.
We also forbid you from reselling, commercially using, collecting, or extracting any part of our websites, including product listings, descriptions, prices, or account information. You may not create a database by systematically downloading and storing our web pages. Any such actions are strictly prohibited.
This rewrite aims to break down the original long, complex sentence into clearer, more concise points. I’ve used active voice, precise wording, and logical flow to convey the key restrictions and prohibitions more effectively.
