NEET ‘Paper Leak’ Mastermind Amit Anand Reveals Price Of Question Paper In His ‘Confession’

NEET paper leak case: Amit Anand, the mastermind of the NEET paper leak case has purportedly confessed that the question paper was leaked a day before the exam. He also revealed the price at which he used to ‘sell’ the question papers. ABP News is in possession of a copy of the confession of the accused, Amit Anand. In his confession, he says how the students were made to memorise the answers to the questions a day before the exam.

In lieu of the questions, the students were charged lakhs of rupees. Protests are being staged across the country over the alleged NEET question paper leak. There is also a demand to cancel the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024 and hold a re-examination. So far, 13 arrests have been made in the NEET paper leak case. These arrests include that of a Junior Engineer named Sikandar from the Danapur Municipality.

What NEET Paper Leak Mastermind Amit Anand Said

Amit Anand said in his confession that the paper was leaked a day before the NEET was held. The question paper and answers were given to the candidates the same day. They were asked to memorise the answers overnight. The rate of the question paper was Rs 30-32 lakh.

The mastermind of the paper leak said in his confession that the police found the burnt remains of the NEET question paper and answer sheet from his flat. He also confessed to having leaked question papers earlier as well.

A case has been registered against Amit Anand at the Shastrinagar police station in Patna, Bihar. He purportedly “confessed” to his crimes during interrogation. According to his confession, Amit hails from Bihar’s Munger district. However, he used to live in a rented flat in AG Colony, Patna. In this confession, he described how he used to meet the students who would pay for the question paper.

“I went to meet Junior Engineer Sikandar at the Danapur Municipal Corporation office for some personal work… I told Sikandar that I can leak the paper of any competitive exam and help candidates pass it.  Sikandar then told me that he had 4-5 candidates who are preparing for NEET and asked me to help them pass the exam,” Amit Anand’s confession read.

“I told him that it would cost Rs 30-32 lakh. Sikandar agreed and said that he will give me 4 candidates,” he further said.

Amit Anand said he asked Sikander to bring the candidates to him on May 4, one night before the NEET.
