DK Goel, chairman of the Forum for Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (FIITJEE), has sparked controversy after a video surfaced allegedly showing him verbally abusing employees during an official Zoom meeting. The prominent coaching institute, known for its preparation programs for the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), has recently faced scrutiny over issues like delayed salary payments and claims of a toxic work environment.
In the video, which has since gone viral, Goel is seen on a Zoom call with several centre heads. When a staff member from the Thane branch asked a question, Goel reportedly reacted angrily. The situation intensified after the employee mentioned that the information in question was already available in the public domain.
In a lengthy video uploaded to YouTube, FIITJEE Chairman DK Goel is seen during an online meeting with his colleagues. During the discussion, a staff member from the Thane branch asked, “FIITJEE Edfora invested 142 crores in other Edtech industries during the turbulence.”
Upon hearing this, Goel erupted in anger, shouting at him from all directions. “Useless people… what kind of shit people are these? You know the name of your father, the person who has written this? Nonsense. Go ask your mother who your father is. Nonsense people. Why don’t you talk about Adani investing so much money?” he said.

He then asked loudly during the meeting, “Who is this bloody person? Throw him out of Mumbai.” During this, someone can be heard saying. “Why are you getting angry? if it is wrong…say it politely.” Then Goel is heard calling the person “bastards” and how “indecency ki hadd hai (this is the limit of indecency) whoever is this person I don’t want to see him in FIITJEE.”
The video has garnered significant backlash from internet users, and several people commented that the chairman’s behaviour was wrong on every level. “He is an IIT Delhi passout.. No matter how big you become, gusse mein Delhi aa hi jaati hai bahar. Pehle Byju’s ka scene dekha, ab FiitJee drkh lia. Kya hi hoga education system ka,” wrote one of the internet users.
