As the year comes to a close, it is time to wrap up the final errands before the year-end partying begins. To make sure that consumers don’t face any inconvenience, it is important to keep a track of the official holidays lined up in the week.

Banks across the country will be observing a holiday on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, to celebrate the festival of Christmas. The official list of bank holidays is released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) every year.

However, some states will have a longer Christmas holiday and see banks shut down for two or three consecutive days.

Specifically, Nagaland will enjoy a four-day long Christmas break as banks remain closed from December 24 to 27, 2024 to celebrate the festivals. Further, Meghalaya and Mizoram will see banks closed down for three days from December 24 to 26 this month.
