In Gujarat, while cases of Chandipura virus are still ongoing, a new study has raised concerns about future health risks. The assessment, conducted by the Centre for One Health Education, Research, and Development, aims to identify potential threats from diseases linked to animals and bacteria. The study (OHRAD) has revealed a suspected risk of Malta fever and rabies in the state. Although there are currently no reported cases of Malta fever in Gujarat, the findings highlight the need for vigilance and preventive measures. This research underscores the importance of monitoring and preparing for emerging health threats to protect public health effectively.
