The Tamil Nadu government on Sunday promoted five 2001-batch IAS officers to the Principal Secretary grade.
T.N. Venkatesh, Commissioner, Backward Classes Welfare; P. Umanath, Secretary – I to Chief Minister, Secretariat; Rajendra Ratnoo, without prejudice to his deputation as Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi; R. Lalvena, Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration; and R. Kirlosh Kumar, Secretary to Governor, Raj Bhavan, Chennai, have been promoted as Principal Secretaries, an official press release said.
