Honda has revealed new details of its upcoming Amaze compact sedan in India with two sketches while the interior has also been revealed. The new generation Honda Amaze seems to link itself closer to the Honda City as is seen with the images. The front end has a board face with a larger chrome strip which connects the headlamps with distinct cuts in the bumper design. It is also similar to some extent with the Elevate too in terms of the front-end.
The rear styling though is similar to the Honda City in terms of the wide tail-lamps along with the bumper design. Honda says that the new 3rd gen Amaze has been designed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand after a survey in India to add India specific inputs as well. The interior reveals more with the same part digital instrument cluster as seen on the Honda City while now there is a new pattern dashboard too. The touchscreen position has been changed and so has the overall look with a different steering wheel design too.
There are large storage spaces as seen in the images as well. The new Amaze is expected to have a 1.2l petrol with CVT and a standard manual gearbox while we can expect more fuel efficiency along with more interior space as well on offer with the new generation Amaze. Based on the City, the closer links to the design can be seen here. The new Amaze will compete with the likes of the Maruti Dzire in India which is also getting launched today.
